Welcome to our consultation website on proposals to redevelop vacant and underutilised parts of the Truman Brewery site
We are working up plans that preserve and enhance the unique character of the Truman Brewery site. We are keen for you to be part of this conversation.
For hundreds of years, the Truman Brewery site has been an important commercial and employment location, while in the last close to 30 years it has also become an important creative, cultural and leisure hub.
We want to create a unique place that will be valued and enjoyed by residents, businesses, for people passing by, for Tower Hamlets and for London. Whether you are a local resident, work in the area, or are a frequent visitor to the area, we want to hear from you.
Project update
Following an extensive programme of community consultation, we have submitted three planning applications and associated Listed Building Consent to redevelop vacant and underutilised parts of the Truman Brewery Estate to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH).
We would like to thank the hundreds of people and community groups who have engaged with us and provided feedback to date. Your ideas and suggestions have directly influenced the final plans.
As part of the statutory consultation, LBTH will write to those who live and work nearby to inform them that the applications are in, providing a description of the development and inviting you to make representations if you would like to. We anticipate Tower Hamlets councillors will then make a decision on the planning applications in 2025.
